About

Laura is a graphic designer, an author and illustrator of children’s books, a student of Psychology working on an MFT, and an adventurous Girl Scout Leader. Her first book is the tale of a guinea pig with anxiety and how friendship helps her find her courage. Rooted in a love of psychology and a fascination with the stages of development, Laura’s work focuses on helping children deal with the small issues that loom large in their lives.

With a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and Fine Art, a career path that includes everything from teaching environmental education to 30 years of graphic design in Silicon Valley, and a lifelong desire to major in Introduction to Everything, “it seems inevitable that I would end up getting my Master’s Degree in Psychology, redesigning my kitchen, and launching my author/illustrator career all at once.”
